Materials Needed

The picture above is what we were trained with... but we are not that far into Project 64 yet!

Wendy firmly recommended using tables or drawing trays.  Because of Tracy and Sarah's classroom set up, we thought it would be best to use trays.  We found them at Michael's for $5 a piece.  They even offer a teacher discount!  To help off set the cost of all these materials, we wrote a grant to the Belmont PTO.  They were fully supportive!  THANK YOU!!

Project 50 Materials

We use Staedtler pencil sharpeners.  They are $6.45 a piece on Amazon.  It comes with a crayon and pencil sharpener.  Tracy and Sarah give our students 10 minutes at the end of each session to do all their sharpening.  We may change this... we'll see how it goes!

We were trained to use ONLY Ticonderoga Tri-Write pencils.  They are $6.50 for a box of 6 at Office Max (they also give teacher discounts!).  The kids love to use these and we also noticed that the kids have an easier time properly holding these pencils. See the triangle shape?

We also duct-taped a stack of paper together to make paper pillows.

You can see why this is a bit cumbersome to set up on our drawing days.  We are still working out a management system.  Any suggestions?
